Perfect combo – N°299 Suede and Python platform pump and Sweety Charity python gold bag, both from Christian Louboutin. Be ready to swing these on the dance floor, ladies. In store now.
I am working the floor in the boutique this week, because I have a tiny break from law school and I’ve missed meeting customers and taking in the atmosphere. It’s almost time to get ready for pre-fall 2012 collections (I leave for the Jimmy Choo showroom in Milan next month) so it’s good to have a fresh take on what customers are asking for and how the shoes actually fit, two things just as important to know as the trends in fashion when placing next seasons orders.
I am especially excited to see what Christian Louboutin has thought of next, he has such huge imagination that there is always a surprise when visiting the showroom. You’ve just got to love that creative mind of his.
Don’t miss the RODEO AUTUMN 2011 magazine and the exclusive Mats Gustafson illustrations of the Azzedine Alaïa fall 2011 Couture collection. The magazine comes with a poster of one of the illustrations to frame and hang on your wall. Beautiful, no?
With Alaïa couture remaining shockingly unattainable on any normal persons salary, I will feed my Alaïa-addiction-monster with a poster on the wall, and perhaps come Christmas, these beauties (booties) from the winter collection. Gorgeous, no?
The lookbook pictures for the Versace collection for H&M have just been released. Donatella says “The collection for H&M is the essence of Versace” and well, she is bang on target. So if you’re going for a Donatella-clone-look, look no further! Not really my cup of tea, except for the studded black skater dress above. Yum!
The collection will hit go on sale across 300 stores worldwide, as well as online, on November 17.
Tommy Ton, off-catwalk photographer has the knack for capturing the most amazing shoes during fashion weeks. Here are a few of my favorite pairs.
The latest addition to the collection of Hotel Costes albums by french DJ Stéphane Pompougnac has arrived, and I’ve been playing it on repeat both at home and in the store. You should too!
