I’m currently rather obsessed with the Christian Louboutin Pigalle Lame pumps. Because they’re such eye catchers on their own, they’re the perfect pumps to pair with a simple everyday outfit, like above. Let the shoes have all the attention, the way it should be.

Each designer has their own particular style, like a mark left by the craftsman to separate his or her work from fellow designers. In Jimmy Choo‘s case, it’s the colors or materials used that will suggest Choo’s had a hand in the making.
Jimmy Choo had his fate pretty cut out for him. The London based designer was born in Penang, Malaysia in 1961 into a family of shoe makers, and being in such an environment clearly served as a good source of inspiration for the designer – he made his first shoe when he was only 11 years old. Choo is however not completely self-taught, he attended Cordwainer’s Technical College in London, and the London College of Fashion.
The Jimmy Choo brand of shoes started in an old hospital building that Choo rented somewhere in Hackney, East London in 1986. It wasn’t long before his designs gained fame worldwide, in 1988 Vogue magazine did an eight page feature on the designer’s creations.
Typical characteristics of Jimmy Choo shoes are their colorfulness and simple details. Fuchsia, orange, and aqua are recurring colors favored by the designer, and details are simple or left out allowing the bright color of the shoe to be the statement. Choo is also not afraid to go bold with leopard prints, python, and fish skin. Jimmy Choo’s philosophy is that shoes can be both beautiful and comfortable.
Celebrities who wear Jimmy Choo shoes include Cate Blanchett, Madonna, Katherine Heigl, Beyoncé, Jessica Simpson, Cameron Diaz, and Victoria Beckham.
Did you know…
Jimmy Choo’s family name is really Chow, but it was misspelled on his birth certificate as Choo.
